Aurora Leon’s founder, Jordan Clark, was drawn to Nicaragua for its world-class waves, and he never left. His team has spent 10 years “researching” the best surf breaks in the region, and they know all the surfable waves and the properties surrounding them.

Northern Nicaragua offers an abundance of surf breaks ranging from fun, classic point breaks, and barreling reef breaks to beach- breaking hollow fast tubes. There are surf breaks for all tides-- high, mid and low. Nicaragua’s reputation as a surfing mecca continues to grow as it plays host to international surfing competitions, but it remains accessible to the casual surfer who’s looking to learn.

The surf from April to November has the most consistent swells from 4 to 6 feet with bigger 8-12 feet swells possible. November to January offers waist-to-chest high offshore breaks. From February to March there are mid-size swells, always offshore in the morning.
